THUNDER BAY – NEWS – NETNEWSLEDGER – LiUNA Local 607 is now accepting applications for its Women in Trades Residential Construction Worker Training Program, an intensive nine-week course designed to provide women with the skills and certifications needed to pursue careers in the construction industry.
The program will take place in Thunder Bay from July 21 to September 12, 2025, offering hands-on training in a range of residential construction disciplines, all at no cost to participants.
“This is a unique opportunity for women in our region to enter a rewarding and growing field,” said Jason Bilcowski, Project Coordinator at LiUNA Local 607. “It’s about opening doors and building futures.”

Before the program begins, interested individuals are invited to attend a free one-day workshop and demonstration:
