By Eric Melillo MP
Kenora / OTTAWA – POLITICS – It’s an honour to have been re-elected as your Member of Parliament in April. I’m deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, and I’m committed to continuing to advocate for our region in Ottawa.
Thank you to everyone who supported my re-election campaign. Whether you spoke with me at your door, displayed a lawn sign, volunteered your time, or contributed in other ways—this would not have been possible without you. To those whose support I have not yet earned, I appreciate your participation in the election. I remain committed to working for everyone across our district, regardless of politics, to ensure northwestern Ontario has strong representation.
As I return to Parliament as part of the Official Opposition, I remain focused on delivering real results for our riding and holding the government to account.
In the opening week of the 45th Parliament, our Conservative team outlined a number of key priorities that we’ll be working hard to advance:
- Making life more affordable – by demanding a responsible federal budget that lowers inflation and taxes and reduces government spending
- Getting homes built – by cutting taxes and reducing red tape that stands in the way of construction.
- Restoring economic independence – by unleashing Canadian businesses and resources, and
- Improving safety on our streets – by locking up dangerous offenders and securing our borders.
Conservatives are strong, united, and working for Canadians. We are committed to working with the government on areas of common ground and will oppose them when they are on the wrong track. Canadians deserve a government that fights for their paycheques, their homes, and their families, and that’s exactly what we are here to do.
If you have questions, ideas, or feedback about these priorities—or about anything else—I encourage you to reach out. I always appreciate hearing from you.
